About Toby Scammell

Toby Scammell is founder of Womply, a technology company that helps small businesses attract, retain, and engage more customers.

I’m a serial entrepreneur, investor, and businessman. I’m passionate about technology and making a big impact.

I founded Womply in 2011 to level the playing field for American small businesses with technology and data. Today, I lead the strategic vision for many of the company’s core functions, with an emphasis on product development and go-to-market activities.

Womply has more than 100,000 paying small business customers and counting, and we’ve quickly become the leading software partner to America’s credit card processing industry. We have hundreds of employees across offices in San Francisco; Portland, Oregon; and Lehi, Utah; and we’ve raised $50 million to accelerate our growth.

Prior to Womply, I co-founded Feastery, a startup designed to help restaurants solve customer acquisition and loyalty problems. Before that, I was a successful associate consultant at Bain & Company, one of the world’s top management consulting firms. During high school and college, I started several businesses, including a Costco-delivery service and a company that sold advertising to local restaurants, bars, and lounges.

I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in international relations, with an emphasis in global business. I have an amazing fiance and a lovely pet pig named Clementine.
